The objective of the National Core Group In Chemistry is to bring about critical changes and to improve the quality of work and efficiency of the system in Academic Linkages collaboration, Resource sharing and interactions between industries and academic institutions.
Broadly speaking the main objective of NCGC is:

Promotion of the Chemical Sciences in Pakistan.

Improvement of the quality of Chemistry teaching in schools, colleges and universities in Pakistan.

Identification of frontier areas in the field of Chemistry, and developing projects in these areas by competent persons.

Manpower development in key areas of Chemistry and chemical engineering
This proposal was recently approved by the Higher Education Commission and following programs have been for immediate implementation.
